All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the International Scholarships for Non-Dutch Nationals at Leiden University, Netherlands 2023-24:
- Candidates must be eligible and hold a bachelor’s degree in physics or a closely related field from a foreign research university with a standing comparable to that of Dutch universities.
- Candidates possess appropriate theoretical and mathematical expertise on subjects like complex analysis, electrodynamics, statistical physics, and quantum physics, which are comparable to those of the Leiden BSc Physics curriculum’s introductory courses.
Application Procedure

- a replica of a current passport or ID card
- a replica of a Dutch residency card (if applicable)
- a resume
- linguistic ability (if applicable)
- copies of your transcripts and diplomas
- Recommendation letters and letters of motivation.
- Students must meet Leiden University’s admission requirements in order to be admitted.
- Students must fulfill their English proficiency standards to demonstrate their language competency.
