Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must meet the following criteria to be considered for the Fully Funded SGS International Scholarships at Donghua University. China 2023-24
- Non-Chinese nationals in good health must apply.
- When applying for doctorate programs, applicants must have a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
- When applying for master’s programs, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
- When applying for bachelor’s degrees, applicants must be a high school graduate under the age of 25.
- Applicants must be exceptional in academic and extracurricular performance and have not received any other scholarships from the Chinese government, institutes, or organizations.
Application Procedure
The following procedure remains the only viable route to apply rightfully:
- Applicants can apply to DHU directly by following the procedures below:
- Check first to see if DHU offers the academic degree you want to pursue and if it is supported by SGS scholarships.
- Before applying to DHU, complete the SGS online application.
- Then, Fill out DHU’s online application and upload all essential application materials.
- Documents in Support: Download the necessary paperwork, fill up the blanks, and have the applicant and sponsor sign. All electronic documents that are uploaded must be scanned fragments of the original.
- Two reference letters in English or Chinese, prepared by two distinct instructors or tutors from your upper secondary school, with their names, signatures, and contact information.
- Foreigner Physical Examination Form, as well as pertinent check result sites.
- Passport and visa are required.
- Transcripts, secondary high school diploma or equivalent.
- Language abilities HSK accreditation (for programs in Chinese, HSK 5 is required for humanities, HSK 4 over 210 for economics and management, HSK 4 over 195 for science and arts)
- Receipt from a bank for the registration fee.
- Statement of purpose
- No criminal conviction certificate
- Financial assistance statement
- Language Requirement: A certificate is required for programs taught in both Chinese and English.
- For programs taught in Chinese, the applicant’s Chinese ability should be at least HSK Level 5. (180 score). Only an HSK Level 4 certificate (with a minimum score of 180) is accepted for the B.A. in Chinese Language.
- For English-taught programs, the applicant’s English ability must be at least IELTS Academic 6.0 or TOEFL IBT 80. Only SCF programs allow IELTS Academic scores of at least 5.5 or TOEFL IBT scores of at least 72.
